Horizon Realty Group, founded in 1984, is a family owned and operated property management company serving Chicago’s northern neighborhoods. Over the past 35 years, we have grown to manage 26 rental properties and 8 commercial properties.

We strive to provide great personal service and quality living to our residents. As long-term owners of our buildings, our apartments typically include amenities and finishes that you will not find at any others.

While we have many properties throughout Chicago, our main Chicago office is located at 1946 W Lawrence Ave. Paid street parking is available on Lawrence Ave outside of our office.

If you are a licensed broker and would like to show an apartment, please contact the appropriate property manager to schedule a viewing time (See contact information above). Be sure to have the client name, number and email ready for the property manager in order to receive payment for your rental. Invoices should be sent to [email protected]

Horizon Realty Group utilizes RentCafe for all of residents’ needs. To apply for an apartment, please click here, find the apartment you are interested in and click “Apply Now”. If you are having issues applying for an apartment, please contact [email protected] or call our main office at 773.529.7200.


Horizon Realty Group uses RentCafe to process payments. If you are a resident, please register for RentCafe here. You can find your registration code on your lease. In some cases, your property manager will send you a link to register. If for some reason you do not have your registration code, please contact your property manager. While it is not preferred, residents may also pay by check to Horizon Realty Group at our main office at 1946 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60640

Please register with RentCafe to submit a maintenance request. Once you are signed in, navigate to find the “submit maintenance request” button. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

After viewing an apartment, the broker or property manager you worked with will give you all the information you need to submit an application to our leasing department. The leasing department will process your application in 3-5 business days. You will receive an email from the leasing department about your status of application.
 
Please be aware that the information below must be submitted via our application service on RentCafe before the application can be processed:
1) copy of a government-issued photo ID

2) two recent paystubs from your current employer (if applicable) along with a completed Income Verification Form

3) a completed Landlord Verification Form

4) any applicable processing fees, as outlined below

NOTE: Providing this information without delay will expedite the process significantly and greatly reduce turnaround time. Your property manager will send you an email at least 30 days before your move-in date to welcome you to the property and to schedule a move-in time. If you did not receive your welcome email, please contact [email protected]

While we will not know if you will be approved for an apartment until we process your application, we let applicants know that they must verify income of at least 3 times the amount of the apartment rent. For example, if you are applying for an apartment for $1,000/month, you must make at least $3,000/month to be approved. Our screening company will also run a credit report. If you are not approved, we may be able to offer a lease with a qualified co-signer or guarantor.

We will be performing maintenance on Friday, September 17th at 8 PM PDT. The maintenance period may last up to one hour and during this time the site will be unavailable. Once maintenance has been completed, the site will resume normal operations.
